STORY CATALYST VERSES BOOK BEGINNING

Let's define story catalyst verses a book's beginning -- their differences.

  • A story's catalyst is the situation that set up the circumstances that provokes the story question.

  • The book's beginning is the best, most intriguing spot to introduce the story question or "what is this story about?" in such a way that the reader cannot guess the end and cannot easily abandon the question, but is provoked to read on.
